Jon Dean

Head of Retirement Strategy
Jon has over 30 years’ experience in Life and Pensions, starting his career implementing technology solutions for pension and employee benefit scheme administrators before specialising in data migration and incident management.

Since joining Altus in 2010, Jon has helped clients deliver a wide range of strategic change programmes, working with them to understand new markets, shape propositions, define better ways of working and select technology and administration partners to deliver products and services to their customers.

His recent work includes advising on new SIPP propositions and their investment solutions, shaping customer journeys for retirement advice and digitising front and middle office operations for wealth managers.

He is a regular commentator in the financial press and he has written or co-authored a number of Altus white papers, including “Learning to Ski” (focused on equity release) and “Shooting for the Moon” (discussing the challenges of Consumer Duty and Value for Money).
