Our people are passionate about the industry they work in, and by working in partnership with our clients, we are helping to improve Financial Services for the benefit of all. We are also challenging the traditional consulting model: our teams’ collective reputation for integrity, honesty and diligence differentiates us and is helping to redefine what good consulting looks like.

We work collaboratively with clients, consulting ‘with’ them rather than consulting ‘at’ them, making decisions and recommendations for their benefit even when this may not be in our own commercial best interest. Sticking to these values has enabled us to build a strong, collaborative team of like-minded individuals.

Diversity, inclusivity, and wellbeing are at the core of this, and are embodied in our policies, our communications and our team’s behaviour. We ensure that employees from all backgrounds are treated equally and contribute to our vision. Our regular wellbeing surveys allow our team to give feedback on the good and the bad, and allows us to address concerns.

Altus is an active member of the Diversity Project, a cross-company initiative championing a truly diverse, equitable and inclusive UK Financial Services industry. Employee-run Women’s Network, DEI and ESG forums provide a voice to the team and guiderails for management decisions. Altus has recently undertaken a comprehensive carbon footprint measurement of its entire business and is actively working towards reducing its impact through a range of initiatives.


Our business does not exist in isolation, we are enthusiastic participants in our community

We are fortunate to be headquartered in the beautiful Georgian city of Bath and our business plays an important part in the local economy. It has always been our view that we are not merely an employer. As well as donating and raising money for local charities – in particular the children’s ward at the hospital in Bath and Jamie’s Farm, a specialist centre for children at risk of exclusion from education – we encourage employees to volunteer for a number of days a year.

From renovating community centres and canals, to manning food banks and the COVID-19 vaccine centre, Altus employees from right across the business all pitch in.


We embrace modern flexible working whilst providing inspirational office space

Our brand of consulting relies heavily on teamwork, innovation and creativity, to achieve the best outcomes for clients. In 2022, bucking the national trend by increasing our office space, we invested over £1m to fit out new state of the art offices in the heart of Bath. These provide a range of collaborative spaces, an amazing kitchen and social area, a health & wellbeing room, and height adjustable ergonomic desks. We also have an office in London and a hub in Leeds. Our consultants manage their own time, flexing between the office, home and client sites. 


We actively support a range of national and regional sporting bodies

We are privileged to have been sponsoring GB’s Bobsleigh team, including through their World Cup season. They are locally based and train at the university here in Bath. We also sponsor Bath Golf club in an arrangement that allows staff to play discounted golf and receive golf tuition.
