Leading financial services consultancy and software provider Altus publishes today an exclusive whitepaper looking into details at how the Financial Services industry can prepare to support its vulnerable customers.
The FCA’s final guidance elevates the pressure on firms to start implementing the practical changes required throughout the organisation to evidence vulnerable people experience outcomes that are just as good as other consumers on a regular basis.
Drawn from the free webinar series Altus hosted in 2020, the whitepaper shares some of the key insight and opinion discussed during the series.
Altus Consultant Jonathan Warren commented: “Vulnerability is a complex challenge, and the FCA wants to see the issue being taken seriously. Firms need to embed a vulnerable-centric approach into their culture, policies and across the organisation, not just in front-line areas.
Our whitepaper brings together a range of different perspectives from subject matter experts for firms to consider when implementing their approach. The FCA will evaluate the actions taken by firms and ascertain whether there has been sufficient progress in 2023. This leaves little time for firms to address such a complex task and they need to make their work on vulnerable customers a priority.”
Altus whitepaper, entitled A Vulnerability Travelcard for Financial Services, reviews the vulnerable customers challenge from a wide array of angles, from technology, employees, data to measurements. It can be downloaded free on the company’s website.
