Altus announces partnership with Kingsbridge ahead of IR35 rules enforcement

Leading financial services consultancy and software provider Altus announces today it has partnered with specialist IR35 services provider Kingsbridge in preparation for the off payroll working rules coming into force in April this year.

IR35 regulations put the responsibility on organisations to assess a contractor’s tax status. Thanks to Kingsbridge’s Status Determination Assessment Tool, Altus will be able to correctly assess the IR35 status of each Associate in its network, and whether they should be treated as an employee or not for tax purposes. It will also be able to manage the complex reporting process that a robust and auditable IR35 status assessment requires.

Altus Programme Delivery Director Steve Hawes commented:

“Our Programme Delivery offering includes the use of selected specialist contractors when required. We pride ourselves on delivering regulatory confidence for our clients, and we are keen to be up and running before the IR35 rules come into place. Working with Kingsbridge, we have been able to understand the implications of the new regulations and implement a robust process.”

Kingsbridge Business Development Director Andy Robinson added:

“Kingsbridge is very excited to be working alongside Altus Consulting to help them manage their IR35 process. This partnership will enable Altus to manage risk effectively, providing a framework to assess the IR35 status of contractors whilst also using the reform to help them gain a competitive advantage by taking a proactive and pragmatic approach.”

The Kingsbridge IR35 Status Tool, developed by Andy Vessey ATT, takes a best-of-both approach, combining a custom-designed automated process with in-house expert consultancy to provide the quickest, most accurate IR35 status result available.
