New disclosure regulations on sustainability in investments mean fund managers will have to source and report on a raft of new data points.  Firms marketing funds in the EU will be scrambling to complete reporting templates for an expected May deadline in the hope the draft standards are approved, while the UK’s carbon reporting requirements have yet to be defined. 

With record demand for sustainable investments, proving that a fund truly does what it promises is fundamental to competing for customers’ assets.  Waiting for complete clarity on the regulations is not an option.
