Diversity & Inclusion Policy

The Diversity and Inclusion Policy applies to all permanent, and temporary employees, interns and consultants when they act on behalf of Equisoft Ltd (‘Equisoft’). Note that Altus Consulting is a trading name of Equisoft and is therefore included in the scope of this policy.

PURPOSE

Equisoft is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, and inclusion where all employees are involved, treated with dignity and respect, and placed in positions to contribute to our future success. We recognise that inclusion and diversity contribute to building a stronger workforce and a better company. This, in turn, helps us to achieve our vision and mission.

DEFINITIONS

Diversity

Diversity refers to the traits and characteristics that make people unique in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, and national origin.

Inclusion

Inclusion is an organisational effort and practices in which different groups or individuals having different backgrounds are culturally and socially accepted and welcomed, and equally treated. It is a sense of belonging that makes people feel respected and valued for who they are, whether as an individual or group.

OUR COMMITMENT

Our commitment is reflected in our current efforts towards a truly inclusive workforce. We embrace our employees’ differences in age, colour, disability, ethnicity, marital status, gender identity, language, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, country of origin and other characteristics that make our employees unique.

Equisoft diversity initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on recruitment; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; redundancies; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of gender and diversity equity that encourages and enforces:

Equisoft employees are responsible for treating others with dignity and respect at all times. All employees are expected to exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion during work, at work functions, on or off the work site, and at all other company-sponsored and participative events.

Any employee found to have exhibited any inappropriate conduct or behaviour against others, may be subject to disciplinary action.

Employees who believe they have been subjected to any kind of discrimination that conflicts with the company’s diversity policy and initiatives should seek assistance from a supervisor or an HR representative. This matter will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism.
