The Role:
The Technical/Digital Consultant role at Altus is a key position in the Consulting division, and reports to the Principal Consultant. You will be responsible for client delivery across a wide spectrum of digital and technical engagements for our Financial Services clients. This position would suit a proactive, inquisitive self-starter who feels comfortable in solution design, data & database design or software development and implementation, and who is looking for more variety, interesting challenges and the chance to develop themselves as an architect and consultant. This role will play a key part in the ambitious growth of the Digital Team and the wider Consulting business over the next few years.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver client engagements
o Work as part of a team to deliver the technical aspects of Altus Business consulting client engagements, for our top tier Financial Services clients
o Operate independently or as part of a team to deliver high-level enterprise, solution & data architecture assignments to clients
o Work independently within our clients’ architecture & design functions to deliver solution / data architecture services
o Contribute as a solution architect within our programme delivery function to deliver longer running transformation for our clients
o Collaborate with Altus Consultants and client change teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients
o Work on various internal projects when not deployed on client engagements
- Strategy and proposition
o Help to shape technical consultancy assignments using Altus’s IT models and toolkit
o Help to shape consultancy proposals for prospective clients
o Create IT thought leadership content, grow and nurture your network
o Refine and create technical IT models and technical consultancy propositions
- Business development
o Promote Altus Consulting services drawing from your own established and Altus’ existing network to generate new opportunities
o Foster and grow relationships with clients, generating follow on sales and new business opportunities
o Build long-term relationships with current and potential clients to build advocacy and potential business opportunities for the whole Altus business
Requirements:
- Experience with a broad range of technologies, with a passion for either Data or Solution Architecture
- Financial Services & technical / data architecture experience desirable but not essential
- Innovative and with a strong ability to articulate ideas, bringing them to life visually and presenting them to clients and stakeholders
- A skilled written, spoken and visual communicator who can communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to act as an inquisitive self-starter/finisher, with an eye for detail, who builds trust and confidence by delivering on their engagements
- A logical thinker with an ability and aptitude for problem solving using a structured approach
- Excellent people and communication skills, able to confidently converse with clients and stakeholders
- An effective stakeholder manager who can communicate and influence across all levels of an organisation
- Proven track record of building strong business relationships
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm to make a difference for Altus and its clients.
- A willingness to travel and undertake varying roles
