Dan has over 15 years’ experience across the insurance market, both in General Insurance and Health & Protection, spanning a range of areas including sales, marketing, strategy, operations and business change.
What was your background before joining Altus Consulting?
Prior to joining Altus, I spent time working at both health and protection providers in the financial services sector, as well as at another consultancy business supporting clients implement transformational change.
What attracted you to Altus Consulting?
As a financial services specialist, it was refreshing to see a firm who actively participated in industry themes and who really know their stuff!
Tell us a bit about your team.
I work in the Insurance Practice, where we help insurance clients across many business lines including Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Speciality and Health & Protection.
What do you do in your role?
As a Senior Consultant in the Team, I work closely with clients on day to day projects, helping them to navigate through complex change. In addition to this, I’m the Team’s SME on all things Health & Protection, which is great as I have the opportunity to pass my knowledge on to colleagues.
What do you enjoy about working here?
Consultancy is always varied and Altus is no different. What makes it a great place to work is the breadth of opportunity to get involved across the industry, as well as being part of shaping the approach and thinking we share with our clients.
How has your role changed since being here?
Having joined the business in March 2022 as an Insurance Consultant, I’ve since progressed to Insurance Senior Consultant at the start of 2023, taking on more of an active role shaping the future direction in the Health & Protection market. This will very much continue into next year as we look to grow more in this area.
What has made you stay?
Altus is undergoing its own transformation as it embarks on its next phase of growth, following the move into the wider Equisoft Group. There is lots of ambition for the Consultancy business and I’m excited to be part of this.
