Platform private equity deals could be ‘fraught with risk’

Private equity acquisitions and mergers of platforms can be “fraught with risk” and will not necessarily lead to efficiencies, commentators have said.

But there is profit to be made in the platform market, according to Ben Hammond, who highlighted the reason PE firms were sitting up and taking noted was because “there is value in the industry”.
