Managing Director, David Jackson

With 20 years experience in the Financial Services sector, David has a successful track record of bringing technology solutions to blue chip clients. In just 5 years he built up the Financial Services practice of IPL from nothing to an annual turnover of £5M, winning major contracts with high profile customers including Bristol & West, CSFB, HBOS, JP Morgan Chase, Nationwide, Merrill Lynch and ZFS.

As Managing Director of Altus, David has been responsible for successfully growing both revenue and profit in every year since the company was founded.

Director, Kevin Okell

Kevin has spent over 20 years helping Financial Services organisations turn their strategy into operational reality in roles which have spanned business and technology. First at Software AG and then later with IPL Kevin has been responsible for shaping and delivering large-scale software solutions spanning most aspects of the insurance and investment sectors.

Kevin is responsible for managing the ongoing development of strategy and propositions across Altus and communicating these externally and has presented at a number of industry events. As one of the Altus founders Kevin has shaped development of both our Consultancy Change Framework, PEAK and our long-term Products roadmap – both of which reflect our networked vision of the future of Financial Services. 

Director, Ben Cocks

In an IT career spanning 20 years, Ben has successfully managed the design and delivery of numerous critical software systems ranging from small specialised applications to multi-million pound administration platforms covering the full spectrum of Life, Pensions and Investment business.

With a strong background in quality software engineering plus a firm grasp of operational practicality, Ben has rapidly built a reputation in the Financial Services sector for delivering systems which work first time.

Head of Consultancy, Martyn Evans

Having spent almost his entire career in the Life, Pensions & Investment, Banking and General Insurance sectors in both business and technical roles, Martyn has first-hand experience of the challenges facing FS businesses today.

He has been working on behalf of clients in consultancy and change delivery roles for over 20 years, developing an intimate understanding of this relationship and how best to deliver value for the customer. As Head of Consultancy Martyn is responsible for ensuring Altus continues to deliver that same value to all of its clients, through a dedicated and professional team of consultants. Having been with Altus from its earliest days Martyn has helped develop many of the techniques and services that shape Altus Consultancy.

Head of Sales, Howard Finnegan

Over his more than 20 year career working for US, UK and European technology start ups Howard is experienced in building sales and service organisations from the ground up. Beginning his career with Sema Group (now Atos Origin) followed by a variety of roles from UK Country Manager to Vice President EMEA with start ups including Object Design (now Progress Software, Inc), Iona Technologies (IPO- 1997), Accrue Software, Inc (IPO 2000), Exony Ltd and Vettro, Inc (now Antenna Software, Inc).

Since joining Altus at the beginning of 2009 as Head of Sales, Howard is responsible for growing the company’s revenue across both the Consultancy and Products divisions.

Non-Executive Chairman, Malcolm Small

After many years in senior management across the Financial Services industry, Malcolm is a well-respected expert in the field of Pensions and Investments policy. He holds a number of high-profile posts including Senior Pensions Adviser to the Institute of Directors (IoD), Director of Portfolio and Retirement Planning for the Tax Incentivised Savings Association (TISA) and has previously been Chair of the influential Investment and Life Assurance Group (ILAG). Malcolm is a frequent speaker and author on industry topics and is Founder and Chairman of The-Pensions-Net-Work (TPNW).
