Equisoft Limited trading as Altus Consulting understands that your privacy is important to you. This privacy notice tells you what to expect when you pass personal information to Altus Consuting.

Visit our website

When you visit our website aggregated and anonymised data is processed by Google Analytics to help us understand user behaviour in order to measure interest in specific areas and information posted on our site. Altus Consulting also uses information collected from cookies and IP addresses to improve the user experience, as described below.

How are cookies used?

A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, thereby giving yourself a chance to decide whether to accept it, or you can refuse all cookies by turning them off in your web browser. To administer our website and for research purposes, Altus Consulting may on occasion use third parties to track and analyse anonymous usage and volume statistical information from our visitors and members. Such information is shared externally only on an anonymous, aggregated basis. These third parties may use persistent cookies to help us to improve the visitor experience, to manage our site content, and to track visitor behaviour.

How are IP addresses used?

Altus Consulting logs IP addresses, or the location of computers on the Internet, to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer the site, and to serve the website content you click on.

Contact us for support

When you contact Altus Consulting for support we generate a case in our support system and record the details necessary to track and resolve the case and respond to you as quickly as possible.  Some statistical analysis may be performed so as to help us improve the usability or our products and assess the support effort of each but no personal information is used in this process.

When contacting Altus Consulting for support please do not send any personal data in files or screenshots; should you inadvertently do so we will permanently delete the content and request that you re-send with the personal data suitably obfuscated or removed.

Register to download a whitepaper

When you register to download a whitepaper we retain your contact details so that we can alert you in future when we are publishing content or hosting an event we believe may be of interest to you.

Apply to attend an event

When you apply to attend an Altus Consulting event we retain your contact details for administrative purposes to ensure you have all the information you need and that we can alert you should the timing or venue have to change.  We may also use your contact details to inform you about future events that you may be interested in.

Contacting us

When you contact us we retain your contact details so that we can alert you in future when we are publishing content or hosting an event we believe may be of interest to you.

Contact us regarding recruitment 

When you contact us regarding recruitment we may retain any submitted details including your CV for up to two years.

Participate in a survey

If you participate in a survey, all of our research results are reported as totals or in other aggregated form; no information about you as an individual respondent is made public.

Communicate with us about our products or services

At Altus Consulting we strive to maintain excellent relations with both new and existing clients alike, so we may contact you to ensure we are meeting your requirements and offering the best service we can.  To facilitate this we may record notes of communications with you.  Such information is classified client confidential and not shared with any third party.

Is information disclosed to third parties?

Altus Consulting shall not intentionally disclose or transfer (and shall take reasonable steps to prevent the unauthorised or accidental disclosure of) your information to third parties (i.e., persons or entities that are not affiliates of Altus Consulting) without your consent, whether for such third parties’ marketing purposes or otherwise, except as follows. Altus Consulting may provide access to your information to third party vendors engaged by Altus Consulting to provide services related to the site; provided that such vendors will first agree to maintain the strict confidentiality of such information. Altus Consulting may also be compelled to surrender personal user or customer information to legal authorities without express user consent if presented with a court order, or as required or permitted by the laws, rules, and regulations of any applicable jurisdiction. Also, in the event of a violation of the Terms of Use or any other terms on this site including, but not limited to, a violation of any restrictions on use of materials provided in or through this site, Altus Consulting may disclose personal user information to affected parties and legal authorities.

Altus Consulting may provide links to third-party websites or information as a service to our users. If you use these links, you will leave this site. Such links do not constitute or imply an endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation by Altus Consulting of the third party, the third party website, or the information contained therein, and Altus shall not be responsible or liable for your use thereof. Such use shall be subject to the terms of use and privacy policies applicable to those sites.

Security

Altus Consulting has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorised Altus Consulting personnel and third party vendors are provided access to this information, and these employees and vendors are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions, Altus Consulting cannot guarantee that unauthorised persons will not obtain access to your information.

Trans-border hosting and transfer of information

Information collected on the site may be transferred from time to time to Altus Consulting personnel, or to third parties, located throughout the world, and the site may be viewed and hosted by Altus Consulting or its vendors anywhere in the world, including countries that may not have laws of general applicability regulating the use and transfer of such data. By using the site and submitting such information on it, you voluntarily consent to such trans-border transfer and hosting of such information.

Children

Altus Consulting understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an on-line environment. The site is not designed for or directed at children 13 years of age or younger, and Altus Consulting will not intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under this age.

We will confirm your identity and then:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you
  • Tell you why we are holding it
