With most of the regulatory framework now in place for RDR, providers are beginning to grapple with the practicalities of what, for many, will be the biggest change to distribution for years; Adviser Charging. In April Altus delivered the fourth in our series of free RDR web seminars to share some of our insights into the challenges of Adviser Charging and how providers might address them.
Topics included:
• Current situation
• Charge agreements
• Distribution agreements
• Charging models
• Systems impacts
With over 100 registrations, this was the most popular session so far and we hope to continue the trend with the next in the series which will explore the interactions between RDR and other current regulatory and industry developments - more details soon.
Putting all this RDR theory into practice, Altus has now started development on a new product which will allow providers to manage adviser charging for all their clients in one place. The product is being shaped via broad industry consultation and our first Advisor Charging industry steering group was held in June. Attendees from Aviva, Capita, NFU, Legal and General and LV= heard Products Director Ben Cocks work through proposed system interactions for the new Altus product and explored how it could fit into provider system landscapes. The next Advisor Charging steering group will be in Edinburgh on the 12th July with more planned for August. Please contact us for more details on the steering group or slides from the webinar series.
