In the last couple of weeks Altus has successfully co-hosted both The Future of Funds Automation with ISO20022 in Edinburgh and Delivering Offshore UK Fund Operations in Dublin.
The first of our seminars started with coffee and pastries at the prestigious Radisson Blu on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, the event was introduced and summarised by SWIFT's Edward Glynn. Speakers included Standard Life Investment's Scott Creelie, Alastair Reid from TISA and Altus' Ben Cocks, Howard Finnegan and Kevin Okell. The event was arranged into two main parts; the first considered electronic fund trading using the ViaNova market practice whilst the second showcased recent developments in automated re-registration.
Dublins follow up event last week explored topics included ISO20022/SWIFT STP developments, platform interoperability, share class and disclosure impacts as well as an introduction to the who’s who of funds trading and re-registration. Both sessions were interactive with the attendees raising some interesting discussion points on both commercial and operational issues.
We received excellent feedback on both days and lots of positive reviews on the usefulness of the events content. The next of the events will be run in London in late February.
