As well as sponsoring this year’s ‘Business Process Management Conference’ hosted by IRM UK, Altus will also be speaking at the event held at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London on 8-10 June 2011.
Principal Consultant, Matthew Scott will be describing how Altus helped AEGON UK to substantially reduce its operating costs using advanced business architecture techniques. Like many large Financial Services organisations, AEGON had built up a vast legacy of overlapping processes, procedures and systems and were struggling to see the wood for the trees.
Altus took the business on an outside-in journey to develop two complementary views of the business from both a sequential and functional perspective before combining them in a series of genuine end-to-end process models that are now being implemented in AEGON’s BPM tool.
The presentation will cover
• How to distinguish Process from Capability
• Building logical models from the outside-in
• Process duplication from the customer viewpoint
• Linking process to capability for better reuse
• Modelling a subset of a business without compromising value.
